XBOX Remote Play – Remote Desktop for Gamers

It’s a great time to be a gamer. Gaming has slowly been creeping into the mainstream for a while now, but last year it went from a small stream to a flowing waterfall. It doesn’t take long to figure out why people have been spending more time at home than ever before. Couple that with the launch of a new generation of graphics cards and game consoles that almost double the price to performance ratios of last-gen and things start to make sense. It has never been easier or cheaper to get into gaming so not only do you have veteran gamers like myself still hanging around, but there’s also a massive influx of brand new gamers on the scene. Whether or not you fall into one of these categories, it’s always interesting to take a look at the technology gamers use as there are always parallels to professional technology. In the video below we look into Xbox Remote Play which allows Xbox owners to remote access their consoles and play games from any capable mobile device over the internet. The concept is almost identical to how an employee can remote access their desktop using the app from a separate device. Whether or not you are a gamer, check out the video anyway in case you ever want to flex on the gamer in your life.
