Thanks for stopping by another AllReitz Group Tech Timeout. In this episode, we are taking a look at Near Field Communication or NFC. This is the technology that allows you to tap to pay with your credit card or mobile phone. There are other less common uses out there, and new ways of using NFC are being developed every day. One of the more recent implementations of NFC is small NFC tags you can purchase, then download an app on your phone where you can program the tags. You then simply tap your phone to the tag and it and it can run various automation tasks around your home or business such as locking doors, shutting off lights, setting temperatures, the limit is really your imagination.
